Chester Chittesh Jandihar - White Hat Hacker

Chester Jandihar - Hacker

Getting into the background: Chester

Chester Jandihar was the son of two parents that wanted him to achieve. He graduated college at 23 with a PhD in Computer Science and a Masters in Behavioral Psychology. He was working with a cutting edge research firm, on an intuitive computer user interface program, when he cracked from the pressure.

He was fired from his job, as undependable. His parents didn't disown him, but they didn't understand him either. They keep their distance.

He got into drug and alcohol addiction, until he nearly died in an accident where he wrapped his car around a telephone pole, and killing a jogger. He was sentenced to three years for manslaughter, rehab and ongoing community service. Which is where he met Ms. Wu.

Since then, he's worked Freelance as a programmer, and he volunteers as often as possible at Ms. Wu's.

He brings in people to his house frequently, down and outers, who he feels obligated to help in one way or another.

He is the most centered character, and he wants to help others with no expectation of return. But he also afraid that non of his good works will ever atone for his sin or the life he took.

He is now 32, and he meets Ash and Grace, takes them in, and got more than he bargained for. But he's all-in.

Can he help them survive, without becoming a target?

·         Character Sketch Template (Hints)(Strengths List)(Strengths details)(16P-Types)(16P-Theory)

Hello my name is Amy Truthfinder, and I’m here with Chester Chittesh Jandihar from the White Noise series, to find out more about him/her and get a little behind the scenes information.

In the way of introductions:

Chester is a Supporting character in the book White Noise. He has chosen to side with the Good Guys, no matter what.

Chester was born on 01/01/1986, which makes him 29 years old as of 12/04/15.

He has the following distinct physical characteristics; Brown eyes, Skinny, Indian decent ( parents came from a town new Punjab).

Personality and Motivations:

Tell me, what is your 16P Type, what are you top five Strengths finders results, and what one-three words best describes you?

  • Ideation - one who is adept at seeing underlying concepts that unite disparate ideas
  • Belief - one who strives to find some ultimate meaning behind everything they do

  • Developer - one who sees the untapped potential in others
  • Connectedness - one who seeks to unite others through commonality
  • Intellection - one who enjoys thinking and thought-provoking conversation often for its own sake, and also can data compress complex concepts into simplified models

I was last tested with an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of 158. For those who are unaware, that makes me a certified genius.
I am an ENFP-A, with strengths in Ideation, Belief, Developer, Connectedness, and Intellection.
I find myself energized by social interaction. My friends described me as imaginative, open-minded and curious, which probably played a role in my interest in the sciences. I can be a bit more emotionally expressive than some would prefer.
In group settings I find myself focused on social harmony and cooperation. It plays out in my developer and Connectedness strengths, always bringing them together in order to bring out the best in each person, and in the group.
I abhor schedules, I sleep when I want, go where the action is. I enjoy a good game of clue, and I spot any opportunity to get involved in helping others. My Motto is "Relaxed Non-Conformist".

What does you name mean, and how has that played out in your life?

It could be prophetic that my middle name, Chittesh, means Lord of the soul. I was converted to Christianity as a youth while attending a private Catholic High School. Eventually, I joined a non-denominational church locally here in LA, CA.

What do you do with

time when you are not working?

What are the things you enjoy most in life?

What things just bug you to no end?

If every job, task, and activity in the world paid the same (and it was more than enough to have everything you wanted) what would you do?

If you could sit down and chat with person who is alive today, who would it be? What about anyone not alive today? What about a non-real person? What about someone from your story world?

Training and background

Tell me about your schooling. What high school did you go to? Where did you go to college? What activities did you participate in? Sororities / Fraternities? Were you  in any other groups? Did you work through school, loans, scholarships, rich family?

Tell me about your major. How many degrees do you have? In what? Why that and not something else?

What was your first job? How many jobs have you had? What was your favorite job? Least favorite job? What do you do now?

Do you hold any licenses, specialties, etc.?

If you could switch jobs today what would you do? (Real and Imagined)

Family history

What does your name mean, and why did you parents choose it?

Is there anything interesting or important or unusual we need to know about your family?

What was your relationship like with your Mother? Father? Others?

How is your relationship now?

Early Childhood through middle school

What experiences, growing up, marked your memory? In other words, what can you remember about your childhood, what stands out?

Who were your best friends?

Worst enemies, bullies?

What was your best day? Worst?

Here are some photos that remind me of you:

He is entirely supported by his technology freelancing, but does not see the point in saving as money is merely a social contract backed by nothing. Outside of his technology, he keeps a low profile, small two bedroom apartment (one bedroom, one office).

Training and background

He holds two PhD's from California Institute of Technology (Caltech). One in Computer Science with an emphasis in Operating Systems, and a second in Behavioral and Social Neuroscience (BSN).

Family history

Parents xxxx and xxxx Jandihar gave him an american middle name to give him options for fitting in here in the USA. They are not actively involved in his life at this time.

He is Indian, his parents were first generation immigrants, and he was born in the US. They wanted him to have the best chance of survival in the US so they chose a name which would not have a stigma on applications.
